award a sole source purchase order to Monarch Lathes, LP, Sidney, Ohio
to rebuild a Monarch Lathe to original factory specifications and
retrofit the AC Frequency Drive on a Monarch Lathe. The Lathe will be
torn down to unit level components; associated parts (headstock,
gearbox, apron, tailstock, bed carriage, slides, tubing, hydraulic
tank) inspected and replaced as required; machine unit will be
reassembled using new machine techniques and procedures; machine will
be repainted; and the rebuilt machine will be tested using OEM REBUILD
tolerances and specifications. The AC Frequency Drive will be torn
down and inspected. Associated parts such as drive motor mounting
plate, motor and spindle sheaves, and potentiometer mounting will be
replaced as necessary. All work will be performed at manufacturer's
location. All work is to be performed under an anticipated fixed price
purchase order. The period of performance will be approximately 6-8
weeks from date of award.Award will be made IAW Simplified Acquisition
