Scope of work includes but is not limited to furnishing all the labor, material and equipment necessary to: remove six existing 12,000 gallon underground storage tanks, hold down pads, and related piping including vents; remove one existing 10,000 gallon underground storage tank, hold down pad, vent piping, gauge conduit, and concrete pad; remove existing piping, manifold room, existing foundation, floor walls and roof and repair remaining wall to match existing; remove fuel, supply, return and overflow piping; remove existing Building #5 generator room walls, roof, door, remove and revise existing electrical panels, conduit and light fixture; provide one new 5,000 gallon double wall above ground storage tank on existing foundation and slab; remove and/or modify existing Building #5 fuel oil piping and controls. Work will be performed at the Federal Center, 50 N Washington Street, Battle Creek, Michigan. The completion time for this project is 170 calendar days, however, tank removal must be completed by December 20, 1999. Standard Industrialization Code (SIC) is 1542 with a size standard of $17 million. The estimated price for the work covered by this solicitation is between $250,000 and $500,000. This procurement is unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This is a negotiated procurement, there will NOT be a public opening.
