This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format at FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quotes (RFQ) issued as RFQ 8-3-99-32 are due June 30, 1999 by COB. The RFQ incorporates revisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-11. This is an unrestricted procurement. The standard industrial classification is 3523 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Required features and specifications for the tractor include: four wheel drive, 55 PTO horsepower, diesel fuel, 8 x 8 shnc shuttle transmission, dual remote control valves, 3-point hitch, independent 540 PTO, ROPS with steel canopy, R-1 agri wheel tires Required features and specifications for the loader include: quick attach bucket system, pallet forks, parking stands, hoodguard. (Preliminary market research indicates that the John Deere 5310 series or New Holland Ford 4630 meets our requirements. We will evaluate quotes based on the following criteria: 1) Specifications and features as described in your descriptive literature (please submit with your quote); 2) Price. Evaluation criteria are listed in order of importance.
