Division, is seeking information on laboratory companies that are
capable of conducting lab tests for the BOP on its inmate population
housed in approximately 95 institutions, including 6 medical referral
centers, throughout the United States. The current inmate population is
approximately 120,000. The lab tests that will be required include, but
are not limited to, the following (estimated numbers of each test
conducted annually are in parenthesis after each test type): Complete
Blood Chemistry Profile (48,880); Liver Profile (24,440); Lipid Profile
(24,440); Electrolytes (24,440); Complete Blood Count (48,880); RPR
(48,880); HbsAg (4,888); HbsAb (4,888); Hbcore (4,888); HbcoreIGM
(4,888); HAV-M (4,888); HCV (4,888); HIV (9,776); Carbamezipine (489);
Digoxin (489); Lithium (489); Phenobarb (489); Phenytoin (489);
Theophylline (489); T4 (489); and TSH (489). Included in the Complete
Blood Chemistry Profile are the following individual tests which may be
required to be run separately at the following estimates: Albumin
(2,444); ALP (4,888); ALT (4,888); AST (4,888); Amylase (2,444); BUN
(4,888); Creatinine (4,888); Calcium (4,888); CPK (489);
Bilirubin-Direct (4,888); Bilirubin-Total (4,888); Sodium (4,888);
Potassium (4,888); Chloride (4,888); Cholesterol (4,888); Triglyceride
(4,888); HDL (4,888); GGT (2,444); Glucose (4,888); Glycohemoglobin
(4,888); H.pylori (4,888); Iron (4,888); TIBC (4,888); Magnesium
(4,888); Phosphorus (4,888); Total Protein (4,888); and Uric Acid
(4,888). Vendors are invited to submit information that describes,
including but not limited to, the following: 1) a company portfolio; 2)
accreditation information; 3) pricing information on each test (for BOP
planning purposes only -- not considered a quote) to assist the BOP in
estimating this procurement; 4) pricing information on total estimated
tests, including processing, reporting and transporting (for BOP
planning purposes only -- not considered a quote) to assist the BOP in
estimating this procurement; and 5) references from prior similar
contracts of similar magnitude. Information should be submitted no
