Z -- ADA AND LIFE SAFETY COMPLIANCE PROJECT, ANACOSTIA MUSEUM AND CENTER FOR AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY AND CULTURE, SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION,1901 FORT PLACE, SE, WASHINGTON, DC SOL F9936SOL0038 POC Tandra Jones, (202) 287-3238 The Smithsonian Institution is seeking proposals to furnish all supervision, labor, materials and equipment required for the selective demolition and construction for the renovation of the Anacostia Museum and Center for African American History and Culture for the Office of Physical Plant Project Number 984604. The scope of work includes at a minimum: (i) selective demolition; (ii) structural framing; (iii) concrete, masonry and stonework, (iv) roofing; (v) elevator; (vi) architectural woodwork and interior finishes; and (vii) modification of existing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and security systems. All firms interested in submitting a proposal in response to this solicitation must request copies of the Request for Proposals (RFP) bid documents. Offerors shall be required to submit technical and price proposals and shall be required to provide financial data to support pricing and company viability. Offerors will be evaluated on their plan of performance, references, subcontractors and subcontracting plan and price. Offerors certifying as large busniesses shall be required to submit a subcontracting plan with emphasis on the maximum practical usage of minority, disadvantaged and women owned businesses. A pre-proposal site vist shall be held prior to the date for receipt of bids. The date, time and location for the pre-proposal site visit shall be in the RFP documents.
