Weather Emergency Management Assistance Center, (MWEAC), Bluemont, VA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the manufacturer and sole proprietor, Motorola, Hanover, MD for software that is an intricate part of a complete system for Motorola Astro Sabor II VHF & UHF hand held radios. The item to be purchased is: ENH: Smartzone System software, part #H38, 100 ea. A market survey has been performed by the Program Office and a determination was made that the Motorola Smartzone software offers the best value to the Government and best meets the needs and requirements of FEMA concerning integration into the Motorola hand held radio system. Items will be delivered to five different FEMA locations across the United States.
