The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), has a requirement to develop
methods to improve bone health in young men and women in order to
reduce the incidence of stress fractures during physical training and
the incidence of osteoporotic fracture later in life. The study will
evaluate the efficacy and safety of various types of dietary
intervention to promote gain in bone mass at several skeletal sites in
young Naval Academy midshipmen. The solicitation will only be
available on the FDA web page at http://www.fda.gov/oc/ofacs/contracts.
Prospective offers are responsible for downloading the solicitation and
