U -- SCHOOL-TO-WORK LEARNING CENTER SOL RFP-99-R-0031 DUE 080299 POC Elizabeth Hecker, Contract Specialist, 202-708-7234 The U.S. Department of Education (ED), in collaboration with the Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (DOL/ETA) and the National School-to-Work Office (NSTWO), is soliciting proposals for the continued maintenance and operation of the NSTWO's established Learning and Information Center. The Learning Center, in operation since 1995, assists School-to-Work (STW) customers in the search for information, products, and services related to STW. These products and services include, but are not limited to: relevant data, technical assistance resources, legislation, instructional items, and other materials which assist in the design, implementation, sustainability, and evaluation of STW systems, as described in the School-to-Work Opportunities Act (STWOA) of 1994, serving out-of-school youth. This contract will maintain, continuously improve, and expand the Learning Center's services. The period of performance for the prospective award will be one (1) year from contract execution, with four (4) option years, subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds. RFP# ED-99-R-0031 is anticipated to be issued on or about July 2, 1999.
