This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures of Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The purpose of this procurement is to develop, convene, and conduct two planning meetings and two invitational workshops to be held in the Washington, D.C. area. This activity will also require the preparation of an issues/briefing paper(s) for use by workshop participants during the workshops and as reference document after the workshop as well as a summary report which analyzes the policy implications that emerge from the workshops. This activity will also require the preparation of a quarterly report that summarizes current state legislation relevant to concerns pertaining to newborn screening and genetic services. The period of performance for this project is 12 months. Johnson Group Consulting, is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required work and services.
