award a sole source contract to Kodiak Northwest for repairs and
rehabilitation to original specifications for an Idaho Norland
Snowblower owned by Grand Teton National Park. This proposed action is
for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate
with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested
parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the
requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive
proposals, however, all expressions of interest received within 30
calendar days of the date of publication of this synopsis will be
considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to
compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is
solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received
in response to thie notice will be used solely for the purpose of
determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The work
consists of furnishing equipment, materials and personnel for the
reconstruction to original specifications of proprietary designed snow
removal equipment. Rotary head, chain case and shear pin assembly will
be rebuilt to factory specification. New axles will be provided with
modifications required to accept disc parking brakes. New cab will be
furnished, specifically designed for efficient snow removal. Cab shall
include joy stick controls and complete wiring. New engine will be
furnished and installed. The estimated price range for the base work is
between $50,000 and $100,000 with additives estimated at an additional
