The total pavement area is approximately 25,000 square feet, of which 10,000 will be reconstructed and 15,000 will be resurfaced. The successful contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, materials and supervision. The proposed construction includes demolition, curbing, subbase and blacktop/binder only of the construction site. This procurement is open to competition among both large and small business concerns pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (see FAR subpart 19.10). The magnitude of this construction project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The applicable SIC code is 1611 and the size standard is $17.0 million. Alternate payment protection (payment bond) will be required upon award. The required performance period is 90 days commencing one day after the notice to proceed. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) tentatively will be issued on July 19, 1999. RFQ due date tentatively is August 2, 1999. All requests for RFQ will be provided only in response to written, facsimile, or electronic mail requests. All responsible sources may submit a quotation that will be considered by the agency.
