USAID/Haiti (hereinafter known as USAID) intends to award an estimated two-year with an option for two more years performance-based contract for the services of a U.S. organization capable to provide services on the financial service network for entrepreneurial empowerment (FINNET). The purpose of the FINNET program is to establish a sustainable and integrated network of financial services (FINNET) to stimulate private sector growth and job creation in the microenterprise and small business segments of the economy. Direct beneficiaries include agribusinesses, microentreprises and small firms served by such institutions as village banks, non-banking intermediaries, Caisses Populaires, and commercial banks. The program is progressively focusing the delivery of financial services in the secondary cities as part of this SO's intent to decentralize economic activity. The estimated value of this procurement is $10 million which includes the first two years and the two option years. The preferred method of distribution of USAID procurement information is via the Internet or by request of a solicitation on a 3.5" floppy disk.
