The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division proposes to procure Shoulder-Launched Multi-Purpose Assault Weapon (High Explosive Dual Purpose (HEDP) rockets, Nomenclature 83MM/1340-01-227-8871/HX05 for the U.S. Marine Corps. The procurement shall be accomplished IAW the current SMAW HEDP Technical Data Package. The procurement is planned over a four year period, consisting of a base and three option years. The estimated quantities are 2000, 7400, 5400, and 5100 respectively for the base and option production periods. These quantities are subject to change based on funding availability and unit pricing. The estimated solicitation issue date is 02 August 1999, with a closing date of 15 September 1999. Contract award will be based upon a best value source selection, with available facilities, past performance, and demonstrated ability to meet required delivery schedule as major source selection factors. Upon its release, the RFP will be available on the NSWCDD Procurement Division Web Site, as explained below.
