The State of North Dakota, Department of Human Services, is soliciting proposals from insurance carriers to provide insurance coverage to ND children who are currently uninsured and who are not eligible for the ND Medicaid program. The insurance program will implement the CHildren's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) known as Healthy Steps in ND. 2. An estimated 2,000 uninsured children obtain coverage under Healthy Steps. 3. Coverage must be provided by an insurance carrier who is licensed to provide coverage in North Dakota. 4. Letters of Intent to propose are due July 21, 1999. No RFPs will be provided after that date. 5.
