Smith, 706-731-7174 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, Augusta, Georgia, intends to negotiate a sole source procurement under the authority of 6.302-1, with BellSouth Communication Systems, 1936 Blue Hills Drive, NE, Roanoke, VA 24012, for furnishing and installing the following parts for the software upgrade of the Centigram Voicemail equipment for Y2K compatibility: one (1) each 120R, 6.1, 120/28, 110V, LS; one (1) each 2 port serial interface card; one (1) each American English prompts; one (1) each NEC 2400/2000 INTG; one (1) each internal modem, model 12; three (3) each teleph OCT cable 6 connect; and one (1) each mission quest credit code. Applicable Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 3661 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. Solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. This will be a firm fixed price contract and must include all costs associated with the delivery and installation of the parts. The contractor shall deliver all items FOB destination to VA Medical Center, 1 Freedom Way, Augusta, GA 30904-6285.
