BAA_ GOVERNMENT INDUSTRY F-18 LANDING GEAR SYMPOSIUM The Naval Inventory Control Point-Philaelphia will be hosting a Government-Industry F-18 Landing Gear Symposium on July 27, 1999. Interested companies are invited to attend this event to be held at the Naval Inventory Control Point, 700 Robbins Aveue, Philadelphia, PA. The purpose of this conference is to jointly explore alternative and innoviative contracting strategis for the procurement of landing gear in support of the F-18 C/D aircraft. A possible contract type to be discussed is the mutliple-award long term contract. The objectives of the symposium are to explain our anticipated procurement stategy, to solicit industry ideas on how to improve the procurement process of F-18 landing gear, and to expand our vendor base of intersted suppliers. NAVICP is looking forward to working with dedicated contractors who wish to enter into long term commitments for landing gear in a highly demanding environment.
