DuBose, Contracting Officer, 717-770-7107 The Defense Distribution Depot Red River (DDRT) located in Texarkana, TX has a requirement to consolidate the Preservation, Packaging, Packing and Marking (3P&M) operations currently being performed in five buildings into one facility. This requirement shall include all work, material, equipment and controls that are required to install and make operational conveyor systems, package flow rack, pallet push back rack, jib cranes and bridge cranes and processing equipment to handle Preservation, Packaging, Packing and Marking operations for material stored at DDRT. Material that is not properly preserved, packaged, packed, or marked will be sent to this area for upgrading prior to storage or issue. Also included in the specification is the installation of supporting equipment including three dust collection systems, to support Contractor furnished and government furnished (GFE) abrasive cleaning, and GFE wood shop equipment, a drive in sandblast room, a drive in paint booth and drying booth, and a drive through paint booth and drying booth. In addition, installation of a woven wire security cage and installation of ventilation equipment for three operations, two chemical cleaning operations, a foam-in-place operation and welding operation are included in the contract. The equipment will be installed in Building 595 at the Red River Distribution Site (DDRT) of Defense Distribution Center, located at Red River Army Depot, Texarkana, TX 75507-5000. DDRT is located approximately 18 miles west of Texarkana, TX on Interstate 30. Building 595 was built in 1954. The building is a dock level building with a rail dock on the East Side and truck dock on the West Side.
