Purchasing Agent, (202) 767-2374 Naval Research Laboratory intends to
solicit and negotiate with Digital Instruments on other than full and
open competitive basis to purchase 1 each Nanoscope IIIa SPM
station, which includes data station for specified SPM (minimum 266MHz
Pentium II, 2.1GB HD 32M RAM, CD-ROM, 100 MB Zip drive, and 3.5 1.44 MB
FD), two color monitors(17" imaging and 17" command) Digital Processor
interface electronics, SPM 3A controller SPM imaging and image
analysis software(Part No. NS3A-01); 1 each Extender electronic module
which provides phase imaging capability for detecting variations in
composition, friction, adhesion, stiffness, viscoelasticity, and other
forces/properties. Recommended for all applications,especially
magnetic and electric force SPM imaging and image analysis software,
allows simultaneous surface topography mapping minimizes optical
interference and topographical contamination due to variations in air
damping includes 10 MESP cantilevers (Part No. PHASE-D01); and 1 each
signal access module(Part No. SBOB). Signal access module must allow
the user access to each of the 25 signals to and from the nanoscope SPM
controller through the 53 BNC connectors and a serial 9-pin connector.
