The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is soliciting quotes for Portable Spectrophotometer meeting the following requirements: Capable of illuminating and detecting and recording from 350 to 2500 manometers (NM), includes a fiber optic reflectance probe, self-illuminating, with a sample aperture of 0.5 millimeters, unit shall be constructed so that carrying in a production environment does not effect operation, unit must provide recorded output so that it can be removed, e.g., so that classified data can be safeguarded, must include installation, on-site training, on-site maintenance and support for one year after delivery, must have spectral resolution of 3 NM at 700 NM & 10 NM at 1400 and 2100 NM, includes an internal computer controlled data collection and real time display, compatible with windows system, includes battery rechargeable with 100v ac for minimum two hour operation when charged, complete unit shall not exceed thirty pounds in weight.
