project consists of replacing the 133-foot single span wooden
suspension bridge in like kind. The bridge is supportd by two (2)
cables and 2, 28-foot towers. The deck or walking surface is 48 inches
wide. Existing cable anchorages will be used. The cable from the
previous bridge will be furnished by the Government. The Desired Start
Work Date is September 6, 1999. The project is located in the Columbia
River Gorge National Scenic Area, Multnomah County, Oregon. Estimated
construction range is between $100,000 and $200,000. Recommended
