This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). SPECIFICATONS FOR THE CUSTOM SYNTHESIS OF BAX 1.The compound shall have a melting point range of 137 to 138 degrees Celsius. 2. The purity of the compound shall be no less than 96% as measured by HPLC. A COPY OF THE HPLC METHOD USED AND A REPRESENTATIVE TRACE IS AVAILABLE BY CONTACTING THE CONTRACTING OFFICER AT (216)433-2736. IN ADDTION, THE COMPOUND SHALL HAVE A RETENTION TIME CONSISTENT WITH THAT ON THE HPCL TRACE (25.7 MINUTES) 3. The chemical structure of the compound shall be determined by infrared and 13 C nmr spectroscopy. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 2899 and 500, respectively.
