The Food and Drug Administration has a requirement for research to support microbiological, nutritional, and toxicological studies and other chemical support services. The contractor shall provide reliable analytical results that complement the assurance that microbiological, toxicological and nutritional testing is conducted with test articles of confirmed identity, known purity, homogeneity, stability, and verify the concentration of the test article in the test vehicle. These services shall be provided in a timely manner to guard against administration of uncharacterized chemicals, toxic chemicals, or decomposed chemicals, non-homogeneous chemical/vehicle mixes, unstable mixes, incorrectly formulated mixes and contaminated water. In addition, these services shall be provided for study specific chemical analyses as requested per protocol.
