Management Division, P.O. Box A, Aiken, South Carolina 29802 A -- LICENSING OF TECHNOLOGY ENTITLED EVAPORATIVE TRAY INJECTION
NEEDLE SYSTEM POC Arthur E. Stephen, Telephone 803-725-5500 E-MAIL:
Clich here to contact Art Stephen via e-mail, arthur.stephen@srs.gov.
This notice is being issued by the Westinghouse Savannah River Company
(WSRC), management and operating contractor for the U.S. Department of
Energy's Savannah River Site (SRS) near Aiken, South Carolina. The
purpose of this notice is to determine public interest in the licensing
of a technology entitled "Evaporative Tray Injection Needle System."
This invention allows the introduction of a solvent-free sample into an
analyzing device, such as a gas chromatograph, to conduct sample
analysis. Solvent-free samples are more sensitive and avoid
solvent-related problems, such as the loss of target compounds, in the
injection process. Additionally, the absence of an injection solvent
simplifies sample analysis. This system has been prototyped.
Respondents will be provided with a technology brief and instructions
for preparing and submitting a business plan, an integral element of
the licensing process. A typical license agreement will contain license
fees and running royalties. Responses to this notice must be received
by August 5, 1999. Please contact Arthur E. Stephen by telephone at
803-725-5500, by fax at 803-725-4988, by e-mail at
arthur.stephen@srs.gov, or by U.S. Mail at Westinghouse Savannah River
Company, ATTN: Arthur E. Stephen, Building 773-41A Room 232, Aiken,
South Carolina 29808. This is not a procurement; it is a request for
expressions of interest in licensing only. Posted 07/12/99
