R -- INTENT TO NEGOTIATE S SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON SCHOOL OF FISHERIES. SOL WASC9-1377 DUE 080499 POC Randall Brown (206) 526-6226/FAX (206) 526-6025 NOAA intends to negotiate a sole source contract with the University of Washington-School of Fisheries. Purpose of contract is to support training of fish identification, assist with inventory and maintenance of teaching collection, and provide all necessary curation of preserved specimens. UW School of Fisheries uses same preservatives in its lab for preserving fish (formalin and ethanol), and is the only known fish collection facility in the Seattle area. UW School of Fisheries also has archival fish collection and a large pool of additional Northeast Pacific specimens that can be used for training NOAA/NMFS fisheries observers. Sources with similar facilities and experience may request solicitation. Submit facilities description and experience with request, simple requests for solicitation will not be honored.
