The proposed purchase order shall be for a period of nine (9) months. The purpose of the procurement is to promote nursing as a career option for grades 6-8 students from disadvantaged backgrounds (including racial/ethnic minority students). Specifically, the contractor shall 1) develop a comprehensive social marketing plan, 2) perform an extensive literature review on the image of nursing and its relationship to the target population, 3) produce digital photos; 4) develop products, activities, and a Public Service Announcement and 5) develop web pages. Successful contractors shall demonstrate the following capabilities (among others): Experience in the provision of learning tools, experience utilizing multimedia, developing websites and integrating technology products and services; specific knowledge about nursing and the image of nursing; and knowledge of the education cycle/process in this country and the different stages of learning, and cultural diversity.
