This project consists of construction of approximately 2.5 kilometers of non-motorized, barrier-free trail. Tread width of the main trail will be 2.4 meters with a maximum grade of 8.3 percent. Trail surfacing will be 25 mm maximum 1 inch minus gravel. There will be approximately 4 bridges ranging in length from 5 to 15 meters. There will be approximately 5 other short spur trails off the main trail that will also be included in the work. The trail will be located in the Ward Lake Recreation Area, approximately 7 miles north of Ketchikan, Alaska between the west bank of Ward Creek and Revilla Road starting at the Ward Lake Day Use Area and ending near the Last Chance Campground.
