The USDA Forest Products Laboratory is soliciting proposals for a construction project to perform repairs to parking lots at the Forest Products Laboratory facility in Madison, WI. The scope of the project includes providing all labor, materials, supplies, equipment and transportation required to prepare and install bituminous pavement on approximately 5930 sq. yd. of parking lot, crack sealing approximately 2000 LF, seal coating approximately 10800 sq. yd. of parking lot and re-striping parking lots per contract specifications. The work includes, but is not limited to: (1) Removing existing transformer pad, railroad tracks, ties, and all existing concrete as shown on drawings. (2) Installing concrete intake boxouts, grates, and storm sewer lines. (3) Removal of concrete and bituminous pavement as shown on plans and the furnishing and installation of bituminous paving and underlying stabilized base. (4) Crack sealing, by application of two coats of seal coat and (4) Re-striping parking lots as specified. All work is to be completed within 30 calendar days of contract award and must be scheduled with the government to accommodate specific government needs. Award of a firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. Price range is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000. Selection will be based on evaluation criteria identified in the RFP, including experience, past performance and price. This acquisition is conducted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This is NOT set aside for small business; all sources may submit a proposal. Solicitation package will be available on or about August 5, 1999 and responses due approximately September 8, 1999.
