Provide all equipment, materials, transportation, labor and incidentals
to complete the following work on the Administration Building at the
USCG Integrated Support Command (ISC) Ketchikan, Alaska: (a). Remove
the existing awning roofing, drains, flashing. Add new awning roofing,
drains, flashing, metal soffit panels and support framing. The awning
is approximately 18 ft wide X 152 ft long. (b). Remove the existing
floor tile and replace with new rubber floor tile with rubber base to
the 2nd floor lobby and stairs to the 3rd floor. (c). Provide new
electrical light to the awning area. (d). Coordinate all work in the
occupied areas of the Admin. Building so that the construction will not
interrupt normal operations by the USCG. (e). Work must be completed
within 300 calendar days from date of award of a Purchase Order. Once
work commences on site, all work under this Purchase Order must be
completed. The estimated cost range for this project is between $25,000
and $100,000. The work required by this solicitation is identified as
Industry Standard 1761 and the applicable size standard is $7.0 million
dollars in annual receipts for the past three years. Request for
Quotation packages must be received in this office by the close of
business 04 August 1999. This procurement is issued pursuant to the
Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law
100-656, as implemented by the OFPP Policy Directive and Test Plan
dated 8/31/89. This is NOT a small business set-aside. All responsible
sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the U.S.Coast
Guard. For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business
Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small
and Disadvantaged Business Utilization(OSDBU), has a program to assist
minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to
acquire short-term working capital assistance for
transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible
prime subcontractor at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program
enables firms to apply for quote, performance and payment bonds up to
$1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guarantee of the
quote amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the
DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to
provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is
$500,000. For further information and applicable forms concerning the
