Scope of Work is to install approximately 2400 linear feet of sanitary sewer line and a vehicle washrack at Homestead Air Reserve Station, Miami-Dade County, Homestead, Florida. The base is located approximately thirty miles south of Miami, FL. Work includes but is not limited to excavating, installation of sanitary sewer piping, installation of new sewage lift-station, installing several sewer lateral connections from facilities to the new sanitary sewer line, backfilling trenches, and restoring excavated areas (sod/paving). A new vehicle washrack shall be provided as part of the project to include concrete foundation, oil/water separator, sanitary sewer connection, steel column supported roof, and hose-bibb connections. Work performed under this project shall comply with Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Authority (MDWASA) standards. This acquisition is for a Firm-Fixed-Price contract. The SIC is 1623. Magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $250,000 and $500,000 (Phase I Funded). Project performance period is 120 calendar days. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 31 Aug 99. Dates are for estimating purposes only, and may be revised as indicated in the Request for Proposal (RFP). This solicitation is unrestricted and is open to large, small, small disadvantaged, and woman owned business concerns. Past Performance is an important evaluation factor for this solicitation. Contractors must have satisfactorily completed a minimum of three projects of this magnitude or greater, within the last five years for the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (MDWASA).
