C -- A/E SERVICES FOR "CONSOLIDATE BUSINESS OFFICE" SOL RFP 521-013-99 (tp) DUE 081699 POC Teresa Posey, Contracting Officer, (205) 933-4492 The DVAMC, Birmingham, AL requires the services of an A/E for the project entitled "Consolidate Business Office". The following services are required: 1. The A/E shall provide professional technical services for the complete design of the project. The design documents typically include schematics preliminary plans, working drawings, including specifications and cost estimates. It is the intent of this project to totally renovate space to support co-locate of the Business Office functions and consolidation of the Inpatient and Outpatient Pharmacies. The project would renovate approximately 5600 sq. ft. of space located on the ground floor and approximately 10,000 sq. ft. of space located on the first floor. Work may include, but is not limited to architectural, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and asbestos abatement. 2. The A/E shall prepare all documents for this project from interaction and planning with the VA Engineering Service and Acquisition & Materiel Management Service staff. The A/E shall meet with the DVAMC staff as required to accomplish task described in the scope of work. The A/E shall make site surveys, verify as-built drawings, analyze existing utility systems as necessary, and complete any and all work necessary to furnish a complete Design Development in accordance with VA Handbook H-08-15, Volume C, "minimum requirements for A/E Submissions: for Minor and Minor Miscellaneous projects and scope of the referenced project. The estimated construction cost range is $1,000,000.00 to $2,000,000.00. The area of consideration is restricted to within a 250-mile radius of the DVAMC, Birmingham, AL.
