Houser, Contract Specialist 608-584-6120 The Federal Correctional
Institution, Oxford, Wisconsin is soliciting to establish a
non-personal service agreement to provide the services of a Pharmacy
Technician. The contractor shall perform pharmacy technician services
under the monitoring of the Chief Pharmacist and/or physician at said
facility. The Contractor will interpret and process prescription
orders, maintain stock inventories and records, and other duties as
assigned by the Chief Pharmacist and /or physician. Contractor must
have a certificate of completion of an approved pharmacy technician
training program. Contractor must have a working knowledge of
microcomputers and medical terminology, be capable of reading and
interpreting practitioner orders, and have good organizational skills.
The Contractor must exhibit a willingness to take direction from
medical staff and possess good interpersonal relationship skills.
Contractor must demonstrate the ability to work closely as a member of
the Health Service Unit Team. The Contractor will furnish copies of
all training certificates from a pharmacy technician training program,
continuing education received during the contract period, and proof of
professional liability insurance for credentialing pursuant to JCAHO
standards and Bureau of Prisons policies. Contractor will provide
fourteen, two hour sessions per week, Monday through Friday for a total
amount of 732 sessions for the expected contract period of October 1,
1999 through September 30, 2000. An option year contract is
contemplated, cost will be based on the total price for the basic
requirement together with any option(s) exercised at the time of award.
This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. All responsible
sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by this
office. The estimated range of this agreement is $25,000 to $100,000.
