The Government intends to award on a sole source basis to Raytheon Systems Company, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, a firm fixed price modification to Contract No. DAAB07-94-D-A010 for additional quantities of the AN/PSC-5 Spitfire Terminals. The resultant modification will allow for an additional quantity of up to 950 units, with an eighteen month period for ordering. The Army has designated the AN/PSC-5 Spitfire Terminal as the Standard UHF satellite terminal and the Joint Staff has designated it as the UHF SATCOM interoperability standard for all UHF manpack satellite terminals.
