The work of this project consists of the general construction of a water storage and distribution system at Point Reyes National Seashore, located in Marin County, CA. Specific work entails: furnishing and installing a glass fused to steel 50,000 gallon water storage tank and foundation, including site excavation and grading, site drainage, berming, and abandonment of existing 12,000 gallon tank; furnishing and installing 1,550 LF of 6" waterline and appurtenances, including excavation and backfill, surface restoration, shoring and testing, new fire hydrants with valves, and abandonment of existing 2" water and sampling station; furnishing and installing of 1,820 LF of 2" waterline and appurtenances, including excavation and backfill, shoring and testing, tie-in to existing 2" waterline (two locations), new sampling station, gate valves, erosion control blanket, water bars, and upgrades to existing drain valve; waterline rehabilitation through the method of pipe bursting 2,110 LF of 8" ACP and 2,350 LFof 6" ACP, tie-in to existing waterlines at five locations, pavement replacement and installation of new gate valves and boxes; and the waterline rehabilitation through the method of slip-lining 1,030 LF of existing 8" ACP with 2" HDPE, and tie-in to existing waterlines at two locations and the restraing of the new 2" waterline at both ends. The project is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000 with completion required within 120 days of receipt of a Notice to Proceed.
