The work includes replacement and modification of Penthouse #7 equipment to increase the air flow and cooling capacity. Conversion of all existing HVAC variable air volume (VAV) boxes, terminal boxes, and terminal reheats from pnematic controls and actuators to digital controls. Replacement of the existing pneumatic termostates with digital units. Adding Penthouse (air handling unit) digital controllers. Converting the existing boiler control system from pneumatic to digital control. Integrating all HVAC system controls into a single direct digital control (DDC) system, with supervisory control from a single location (terminal). Installation of exhaust fans in Penthouse #5 & #6 to allow a positive means of introducing outside air. Modifying existing ductwork to revise the air distribution between air handling units and to accomodate increased air flows. Repair and adjustment of two gravity ventilators in the building entries to allow for the introduction of ventilation air.
