Medical Center, Albany, NY is re-soliciting its requirements from
qualified, responsible firms with the capacity and capability to
provide all necessary labor, materials, tools and equipment to complete
Project 98-101, Elevator Deficiencies -- Phase 2. Work shall be
performed on five (5) existing Otis elevators and shall consist of
installing new controllers, SCR drive with isolation transformer and
choke system, selector leveling unit,door operators, main car station,
traveling cable and hoistway wiring, hall push buttons, hoistway door
equipment, auto dial phone system, training of VAMC personnel and
maintenance services. Performance time will be 325 Calendar Days after
receipt of Notice to Proceed. Cost range is between $500,000 --
$1,000,000. Standard Industrial (SIC) Code for this acquisition is
#8999, Services, N.E.C. Wages paid to the various workers employed
under the resultant contract will be subject to the Service Contract
Act of 1965, as Amended. The Government will require a 90 day
acceptance period for bids submitted. A Pre-Proposal Conference will be
held August 30, 1999 at l0:00 AM in the Offices of Facilities
Management Service, Stratton VA Medical Center, 113 Holland Avenue,
Albany, NY. Requests for Proposals will be available o/a August 11,
