issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a Thermacam PM 595 camera or
similar. Type of camera: Array imager for thermal infrared wavelengths.
Type of operation: Hand-held point and shoot. Weight and size: less
than 5.5 lbs. (includes battery), less than 9X6x6 inches Detector:
uncooled microbolometer array, 320x240 pixel minimum. Spectral range:
7.5 to 13 microns wavelength. Image frame frequency: 60 HZ Temperature
range: -40 to +500 degrees centigrade. Temperature sensitivity: 0.1 at
30 degrees centigrade. Temperature accuracy: 2% Field-of-view: 24 X 18
degrees Angular resolution: 1.3 mrad Minimum focal distance: 50 CM
Video output: RS170 EIA/NTSC Built-in viewfinder: color liquid crystal
display. Data storage: both 14-bit infrared digital image and 8-bit
image in standard bit map format. Text annotation available. Battery:
2 hours rechargeable, internal, replaceable. Supply two batteries and
charger. Also supply AC adapter. Operating temperature: -15 to +50
Degrees centigrade. This procurement is being conducted under the
Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to
acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. The DPAS Rating for this
procurment is DO C9. The anticipated release date of RFQ 693-31704 is
on or about 7/27/99 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about
8/16/99. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote which
shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed --
