The contract performance period begins on the DATE OF AWARD (DOA) and expires five years from that date unless cancelled, terminated, or extended pursuant to any option provisions included in the contract. All contracts under this Multiple Award Schedule solicitation will include an option to extend the term of the contract. The option clause may be exercised more than once, but the total extension of the schedule period shall not exceed five years. The Government will award contracts for identical brand name items to more than one contractor when offers are determined to be fair and reasonable to the Government.
