99 -- HYDRAULIC FORGING PRESS SOL N00600-99-Q-1273 DUE 081199 POC For additional information, contact Pat Harrison, code 02W1.3P, (202) 685-1867 The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Washington has a requirement for a Hydraulic Forging Press, 800 ton capacity with die rotator platen, a modular, climate control workstation and a press control system (main desk) modular space. This is a Commercial Item and will be awarded in accordance with FAR 13.5-"Test Program for Certain Commercial Items". The equipment shall be new and unused, capable of performing forging operations. The equipment shall be complete, so that when connected to identified utilities it can be used for any function for which it is designed and constructed. The equipment shall be one of the manufacturer's current field proven design, representative of equipment whose design, capacity and performance characteristics, have been proven through actual field application, are substantially the same as those required of the requested equipment. Installation and on site training will be required of the awardee. Option to purchase spare parts is part of this requirement. Delivery will be to: Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth VA.
