NOTICE OF CONTRACT ACTION -- ADVANCED CONCEPT EJECTION SEAT (ACES) II The Human Systems Program Office/Crew Systems Division, Life Support IPT (311 HSW/YACL), Brooks AFB, TX, intends to award a sole source contract to the McDonnell Douglas Corporation, A Wholly-Owned Subsidiary of The Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO. The Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements is being implemented. The proposed contract action is for the procurement of Advanced Concept Ejection Seats II (ACES II), NSN 1680-01-335-9832LS and 1680-01-335-9254LS, to satisfy USAF and FMS Government Furnished Equipment production requirements for various aircraft. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources shall submit information which clearly demonstrates their ability to provide this item. This information must be received by the Contracting Officer within fifteen (15) days of the publication of this announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources shall submit information which clearly demonstrates their ability to provide the product.
