V -- HELICOPTER SERVICES -- FISH HABITAT ENHANCEMENT SOL IFB R6-12-99-202 DUE 091399 POC Administrative Services, 541/750-7118 This project consists of securing heavy-lift helicopter services. Aircraft must be capable of transporting material weighing approximately 16,000 to 26,000 pounds. Pilots shall be required to yard whole trees (up to 170 feet in length), root wads (approximately 20-36" DBH), logs, and boulders from staging areas to specified stream locations. The contractor shall furnish all supplies, materials, labor, supervision, and transportation (except that listed as Government-furnished) required to complete the project. The projects are located on Drift, Gopher, Meadow, Horse, and Cape Creeks on the Waldport Ranger District; and North Fork Smith River on the Mapleton Ranger District, Siuslaw National Forest, Douglas, Lincoln, and Lane Counties, Oregon. There are two contract periods as follows: (1) Waldport Ranger District work will be completed approximately between September 15, 1999 and October 15, 1999; (2) Mapleton Ranger District work will be completed approximately between August 5, 2000 and September 15,2000.
