Road maintenance services consist of routine maintenance activities normally associated with gravel and/or native-surfaced single and double-laned roads. Types of routine road maintenance service include blading aggregate surfaced roads, spot surface repair work using various types of specified aggregate, cleaning/reshaping ditches, routine as well as reclamation mowing and railroad crossing mowing, heavy brushing, seeding/fertilizing, machine placed riprap, hazard tree removal, sign installation/replacement, cattleguard cleaning, etc. Roads which may be designated to receive maintenance services are limited to (1) roads under Forest Service jurisdiction and (2) roads under other local jurisdiction that are designated for Forest Service road maintenance under a cooperative agreement. Solicitation is for a fixed-price requirements contract with a basic contrct period from date of award through 09/30/00 with a one-year option period (10/01/00 through 09/30/01).
