NASA GSFC/WFF plans to issue a Request for Offers for Cafeteria Renovation, Phase I, at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, Virginia 23337. The scope of work for this project shall include, but is not limited to: DEMOLITION: The bearing wall betweens Rooms S166 and S168; the HVAC systems in Room S168 to include the 10-ton unit and its enclosures, the ductwork and its enclosure; vinyl wall covering and base, wood sills, damaged quarry tiles, electrical switches, and miscellaneous other utilities as indicated on the drawings; all finishes in Dining Area "A", Room S166, ductwork, plumbing and electrical/lighting. CONSTRUCTION: Modifications to HVAC, sprinkler, lighting and electrical systems; replacement of all finishes in Room S166 as well as finishes demolished in Room S168 to the extent indicated by the specifications and drawings; installation of new columns between Rooms S166 and S168 and column covers made from rocket motor housings which the Government shallprovide. The work shall be complete. It includes furnishing, as applicable, or may be required, all contractor's plant, equipment, safety devices, labor, tools, materials, supplies, and services, and performing all operations necessary for or incidental to a complete project in conformity with the drawings and as set forth in the various sections of the specifications. This procurement is being conducted under NASA MidRange Procurement Procedures. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 and the effort shall be completed within 150 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for the procurement is 1542. The corresponding size standard is $17,000,000.00. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about August 30, 1999, with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about September 30, 1999. The firm date for receipt of offers will be stated in the RFO. Bid packages containing specifications and drawings will be available at a nonrefundable cost of $75.00.
