It is the Government's intention to accomplish the Replacement of Damaged or Missing Life Ring Stations at Various Locations throughout the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, Washington. The scope of work is to upgrade the life ring stations throughout the Shipyard by replacing all open type life ring station mounting plates and replace them with enclosed fiberglass cabinet type units. In addition, some stations will be relocated to other areas, and some new stations established. The scope of work will require a small amount of asbestos work. The work will involve drilling approximately 24 each 3/8 inch diameter holes for the purpose of fastening life ring cabinets to the exterior wall of one building that has transite asbestos siding, and incidental related work. The RFQ shall be available on or about 7 September 1999. The SIC Code is 1542. The related Small Business Size Standard is $17 million. The estimated cost of the proposed procurement is between $50,000 and $75,000. A copy of the RFQ will be furnished only upon request and WILL NOT BE FAXED.
