This is a correction of the original submission (No. 367618). This correction restates the announcement in its entirety, as corrected. The U.S. Department of Commerce intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Procurement Automation Institute (PAI) to procure the renewal software license and support for solicitation and contract document generation (DGS) for the period 1 Oct 1999 thru 30 Sep 2000. The DGS system is currently in use on desktop computers throughout the U.S. Department of Commerce. The renewal is needed to maintain existing services until a new automated contracting system which has been awarded to CACI, can be deployed throughout the Department. No solicitation will be issued. The contract resulting from this synopsis is not expected to exceed $50,000. All responsible sources may identify their interest and submit a written capabilities statement describing how they can license and support PAI's DGS system by no later than September 3, 1999.
