This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures of Part 13 of the Federal Acquisitions Regulations. The purpose of this purchase order is to conduct a study to determine the number and types of "frontier superclinics" or Extended Stay Primary Care Centers in frontier communities which are currently operating, and the demand for the development of additional facilities. The contractor shall prepare a report which documents the current status of existing Extended Stay Primary Care Centers, document licensure, incentives, and/or barriers for development of the ESPCC's. Recommendations to guide any further development of these frontier health care facilities should also be added and compared to legislature requirements in this area. The period of performance for this project is six (6) months. The Frontier Education Center is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing required work and services.
