R -- SUBSTANCE ABUSE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO HEALTHY START COMMUNITIES SOL 99-MCHB-60A(KL) DUE 082799 POC Kimberly Lewis -- (301)443-4540 The Health Resources and Services Administration intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with Children's Research Triangle, 122 South Michigan, Suite 1100, Chicago, IL 60603. This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures of Part 13 of the Federal Acquisitions Regulations. The purpose of this purchase order is to provide substance abuse technical assistance to Health Start communities that are finding perinatal substance abuse to be significant contributing factor to infant mortality in their population. The contractor shall be responsible for developing and delivering training and technical assistance programs for up to 10 Healthy Start projects sites. Also, the contractor must prepare a final summary report stating future plans and needs for technical assistance for each site, and comments and/or recommendations made for the project sites. The period of performance for this project is one (1) year. Children's Research Triangle is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing required work and services.
