The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Safeway Steel Products, Inc. for the acquisition of various scaffolding to support maintenance training on the MV and CV-22 aircraft. The required delivery date for the scaffolding is 30 November 1999.The majority of the scaffolding is standard commercial parts, however, there are parts for each section that were designed specifically for the V-22 layout. The Government does not hold any proprietary rights to any of the drawing or specifications. NAWCADLKE intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open their requirement to competition is based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion ofthe Government.
