OVERHAUL (ROH) of the USNS MERCY (T-AH-19), including drydocking period
followed by topside work. Tentative Period of Performance dates are 17
January 2000 -- 01 April 2000 (subject to revision). Ship
specifications: Length (LOA): 894' 0", Beam: 105' 10", Draft: 32' 10",
Displacement: 69,630 long tons. The solicitation will be posted to the
Navy Electronic Commercial On-Line Website (NECO) at
http://www.neco.navy.mil on or about the 14th of September, 1999.
Potential offerors shall search for the RFP under the section titled
"Business Opportunities, Manually Generated Solicitations." The
solicitation and subsequent amendments will only be made on the
website. It is the sole responsibility of the offeror to continually
view the website for any amendments to the solicitation. Place of
performance is Contractor's facility, West Coast CONUS. Offerors must
have an executed Master Agreement for Repair and Alteration of Vessels
prior to award of contract, and be registered in the Department of
Defense Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Award will not
be made until these requirements are met. Offerors not already
registered shall do so by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the internet
at http://ccr.edi.disa.mil. This is an unrestricted procurement.
Requests for ship drawings (CD ROM) must be arranged by e-mail
addressed to the solicitation POC (Mr. R. Bauer). A pre-proposal
