The Navy requires the contractor to modify three (3) pallets of 48 each sonobuoys as follows: One pallet of 48 ea. shall be modified with a 40 dB attenuator, one pallet of 48 ea. shall be modified with a 60 dB attenuator and one pallet of 48 ea. shall be modified with an 80 dB attenuator. A total quantity of 47 each sonobuoys of the total quantity of the 144 units shall require their RF frequency to also be modified. The Navy will also include an option to include an additional 144 units with the same modifications with the exception of 25 units with RF frequency to be modified versus 47. This Request for Quotation (RFQ) is being issued on a sole source basis to Sparton Electronics, 5612 Johnson Lake Road, Deleon Springs, FL. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Navy will provide Sparton manufactured 57B's as government furnished property. The Navy will require a Certificate of Conformance. Delivery shall be FOB destination to NAWCAD, 22347 Cedar Point Road, Patuxent River, MD 20670.
