Contractor shall provide all necessary tools, equipment, labor and
material to repair International Organization of Standardization (ISO)
containers owned by the Department of Defense. Containers are 20 foot
long, 8 foot wide, and 8 foot high. The proposed contract will be for
a basic period plus four one year option periods. The contract may
expect to receive approximately 150 containers within the twelve (12)
month base period. The majority of containers ir requiring repair
requiring repair will be done aboard Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune,
NC at lot 201. Government will ipment required to load and unload
containers on flat beds for containers that cannot be repaired on site.
Containers requiring repair shall be brought to the serviceability
requirements of the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) code
for freight containers transporting United Nations Hazard Divison 1.1
and 1.2 (DOT Class A) explosives, as supplemented by the Government's
Directorate of Transportation Assets. Government requires all
contractor personnel performing repair estimates to be certified as CSC
Inspectors and must have attended the Intermodal Dry Cargo
Container/CSC Reinspection Course. The course length is approximately
three days, provides a four year certification, and is taught at the
U.S. Army Defense Ammunition Center and School, in McAlester, OK. The
contractor will be responsible for the cost of the course,
transportation, meals, and lodging. Inspection procedures will be in
accordance with but are not limited to: Container Inspection Handbook
for Commercial and Military Intermodal Containers (MIL-HDBK-138A), ISO
standards 668, 1161, 1496/1, and 6346, Institute of International
Container Lessors (IICL) Repair Manual for Steel Freight Containers,
and the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code containers
fitness standards. See Note 1. Solicitation should be requested in

Offerors are required to provide their Contractor's DUNS Code and
